Day one - getting a new "hobbie"

Hello and welcome to my blog!

This is my first post about my choice to start working volunteerly for some local charity project here in my hometown of Gothenburg.

Reason I made this blog is mostly to keep track of how my new "hobbie" will evolve. In this moment I do not have a specific plan what to work with or anything. Nor the amount of time I want to spend with voluntary work. I do not even know if I will manage to raise myself from my everyday laziness and actually put in the effort to make something happen. The only thing I know is that I feel I want to try help people that are not as fortunate as me.

The background behind why I feel working voluntarily would be a nice hobby are twofold. First, it gives me a chance to perhaps help people in some way that are not as well-off as I am. Secondly I think it could be enriching to meet people in tough situations and maybe learn from them and hopefully in some way help them to a better life.

Anyway, let's get this show on the road.
