A person striving to live altrusticly, wins small and large battles everyday. Even the smallest friendly gesture can be seen as a "win". And it is always a double win as it pleases both the person doing the gesture and the person recieving it. The path is open to total, double success!
An egoistic person striving for wealth and personal gain will most certainly lose in the long run since there will always be something or somebody to surpass. So walking the egoistic path will most certainly be the path to failure. And every "win" you get is certainly making it worse for somebody who was close to get that "win" themselves. So an egoist can only get solo wins.
Like Papa roach said (and many others :): "You just can't win, the things you own, own you!".

SvaraRaderaAs I see it, bying a product, thus "helping someone" by giving money and also profit to that person, isn't the same as giving to someone that only gets love as a "profit". Buying products is not on the same level as I see it.
